Nestled under the Escarpment, Ancaster Mill is a place where the pace slows, nature is found, and history recalled. A romantic location next to a waterfall and on the banks of a stream, the historic and utterly scenic ambience of Ancaster Mill paves the way for a perfect wedding. Wedding Ceremony

3:00PM – 3:30PM

Millers Chapel is perched on the hilltop of Ancaster Mill, this picturesque chapel provides the perfect ambiance to match the occasion. The grand fireplace frames the altar, while arched timber trusses and elegant light fixtures create a beautiful ceremonial setting.

Cocktails

3:30PM – 5:00PM

Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served in the Solarium just a few minutes away from the Chapel. The solarium is beautifully intimate and designed to embrace the full glory of the Mill’s setting. Enjoy the short walk as you pass the Mill’s waterfall and the stream below. Feel free to explore the grounds after grabbing a cocktail as drinks are permitted everywhere.

Reception

5:00PM – 12:00AM

The reception will be held in The Governor’s Room which is just a staircase away from the Solarium. The Governor’s Room is a grand ballroom, with original architectural features including stone fireplace, casement windows and soaring 12-foot ceilings.

Dinner will be served off a custom menu. If you have any allergies, please include that in the RSVP form below but you should also tell your server during the reception.

Preferred Accommodations

For the best Ancaster experience we recommend staying at The Barracks Inn which is located at 425 Wilson Street East Ancaster, Ontario and mere 550m from the Ancaster Mill (around a 9 minute walk or 2 minute drive). The Barracks Inn is a century stone building featuring 18 luxuriously appointed suites (we have 17 reserved). Each of our deluxe suites offers a subtle blend of unique period decor and modern in-room technologies. Each room includes free breakfast, WiFi, and parking.

We have rooms on hold for both Saturday and Sunday until March 4th, 2024. After this date, The Barracks Inn will release all unbooked rooms back to the public. To book a room you MUST use the code LITREA.

Please note that due to the intimate nature of our wedding and the limited availability of rooms, The Barracks Inn may already be fully booked. In light of this, we want to ensure all our guests have suitable alternatives.

With its fair pricing and comprehensive amenities, it serves as a wonderful option for those seeking comfort and convenience. We appreciate your flexibility in choosing this alternative option to ensure everyone has a comfortable and enjoyable stay during our wedding. If you have a preferred chain of hotels there are many other options within Hamilton as well.
